Services

To be fully seen and heard we need to be recognised as individuals with our own needs, strengths, limitations, likes and dislikes.

Within my practice I offer a variety of therapeutic options so that therapy is accessible while recognising your needs and wants.

Some prefer individual therapy to focus solely on their personal distresses whilst some like to feel a sense of belonging within a group where they can help others alongside being helped themselves.

We each have different ideas about what is important and what type of support suits us best. If you are unsure as to what type of support might suit you best, I can help you in making this decision.

Beach Sunset

Individual

Therapy

Offering a safe and confidential space to explore concerns and issues personal to you.

Individual therapy is tailor made to your specific needs in addressing what has brought you to therapy.

Sessions normally last for 60 mins and can be facilitated face to face, online via zoom, or over the telephone.

The number of sessions required is decided by you and depends on what brings you to therapy.

The relationship between a therapist and a client is an important factor of therapy and it's outcome. Speaking to a therapist prior to booking an appointment is a worthwhile exercise to gauge how comfortable you feel.

I understand that looking for a therapist can sometimes be a daunting  task and I endeavour to help you feel comfortable and at ease from the first call.

School

Counselling

Adolescence is a peak time for the onset of mental health concerns. And while school is a key setting for mental health promotion and the provision of addressing such issues, student feedback highlights concerns regarding the dual role of the guidance counsellor/teacher and confidentiality in Irish schools.

Working directly with students upon referral from faculty, psychotherapy offers an additional and somewhat separate level of professional emotional support and care as an early intervention to psychological well-being.

Individual counselling, group workshops or tailor-made well-being programmes can be a powerful way of addressing the specific needs of a group of students.

School counselling takes place on school premises and can be booked in blocks of regular hours or days.

Often in life we find ourselves at turning points which leave us feeling unsure, isolated or lost. Much support can be found in the company of others in similar situations, providing a safe space to share experiences, feelings and coping strategies.

The well-being programmes I offer bring together individuals with common concerns or issues.

Some programmes are ongoing where participants can drop in.

Others are more structured with a linear structure from start to finish. Tailor-made programmes can be facilitated for groups with specific needs.

Currently due to Covid-19 well-being programmes in groups have been postponed and will resume when safe to do so.
